Meet Your Therapist
Hi! I’m Kaeli.
I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Arizona and California. I was drawn to this field after getting a Bachelor’s degree in Film and TV, then working with foster youth, and realizing how honored I feel when people trust me with their stories. I graduated with my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling 2020 and worked in an intensive outpatient clinic and then an eating disorder residential program, where I really honed my skills and found my niche. Now, I primarily work with women and young adults who are struggling with eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, and people-pleasing. Throughout my career, I have found that these issues so often go hand-in-hand, and I am grateful to get to be a part of connecting the dots, helping people uncover their true selves, and living lives they are proud of.
What therapy with me is like:
I know first-hand how hard it is to start therapy and to spend an hour talking about yourself. Most of my clients aren’t used to that space and dedicated attention, so I try to make it as comfortable as possible. People are so cool, and I genuinely believe that each person is capable of growth and fulfillment. In our sessions, you can expect a mix of lightheartedness and depth; I am kind and intentional, and I want you to feel better, not just talk to a nice therapist. We will talk about the real things bothering you, and yes, I will laugh at your dark humor, while making sure you’re okay.
When I’m not therapizing:
I’m usually playing music, getting outside (when it’s not over 100 degrees), planning my next trip, watching my comfort shows on repeat, or buying succulents for my office even though they’ll probably die in 2 months. I love coffee, live music, and going to trivia nights with friends, and I get excited about breakfast before I go to sleep at night.
Who I typically work with:
If you…
feel behind in life and like you’re never doing enough
somehow feel like you're both “too much” and “not enough”
struggle to say no even when you're completely burned out
overthink conversations long after they've ended
fixate on your body or feel like you should look different
struggle to consistently nourish yourself
lie awake at night thinking about everything you need to do
carry the emotional weight of your family or relationship
You are not alone! This is exactly the kind of work I love to do.
Think we might be a good fit?
Whether you’re interested in individual therapy or the Good Enough group, I would be happy to hear from you!
How I Work:
collaborative—no power dynamics here
warm and conversational
evidence-based but not rigid
helping clients understand the why behind their patterns
challenging perfectionism while still being compassionate
making therapy feel like a place where you don't have to perform
My Approach:
My approach draws from CBT, ACT, ERP, and other evidence-based modalities, but I don't believe therapy should feel like following a formula. We'll work together to understand what's keeping you stuck and find strategies that actually fit your life.
